Welcome to UBarU!

Welcome to UBarU!

We are a Unitarian Universalist Camp and Retreat Center in the rugged ranch land of the Hill Country near Kerrville, Texas.

Our mission is to provide a welcoming, peaceful place to gather for spiritual, educational, and recreational purposes in harmony with our
Unitarian Universalist principles and the land.

From our UBarU Board President

Dear Friends, May, 2020

THANK YOU for your recent and ongoing support! Many of you have become members (https://ubaru.org/home/MembersOfUBarU) or sent donations (https://ubaru.org/home/Support) in response to our recent, urgent appeal and your donations together have made a difference. Along with the awarded PPP grant, we are feeling more optimistic. We very much appreciate your continued financial support!

UBarU is working together with you, with the state and local government, and with our constituents to weather the COVID situation. For the short term, we have suspended all on-site activities through the end of July and are looking ahead to safely hold August and fall events. Decisions will continue to be made as we move forward, and uncertainty is part of the process. We appreciate your patience. We, as a dedicated team, promise we will keep you informed as we work through this most difficult time.

We appreciate the love, patience and support offered by our members and extended community - past, present and future. UBarU has seen many changes over the last 20 years and we look forward to those ahead of us. We appreciate and rely on your continuing financial support especially as many programs have been suspended or delayed for the time being. We will continue to work together for both the short term and the long term.

Each day, take a moment to reach out to friends and family and take a moment to care for your spirit.
