Accessibility

Accessibility at UBarU has greatly improved in recent years.

The Rev. Dwight & Marie Brown Center, the main residence facility at UBarU, is ADA accessible to persons who may be wheel-chair bound or who have other mobility issues. Accessibility includes easy access to the sleeping quarters, restrooms, and showers.  We have a concrete parking pad that features an accessible sidewalk to enter the building. There is a similar accessible walkway connecting the Rev. Dwight and Marie Brown Center to the Meeting House, also an ADA compliant building.  The Meeting House is the center for most indoor activities and the location of the main dining facility.

Our 50,000 gallon UBarU pool has an ADA compliant ramp so that the pool deck is accessible for all. The pool area can be reached by car or our onsite golf cart.

There is a paved path from the Meeting House porch to the fire circle at UBarU.  It can be navigated by wheelchair or gait aid.
