Endowment for UBarU
An endowment is a permanent savings account for an institution. Money is put aside as principal and invested. The investment income or a percentage of that principal is withdrawn to meet specified needs of the organization and beyond. An endowment provides a measure of financial security and facilitates an organization to think in terms of long-range planning.
An endowment provides a vehicle for people to make larger gifts from annual ones to larger, one-time gifts with assurance that the gift won’t be spent right away.
An endowment gives you a way to express commitment to UBarU through wills or estate plans.
The UBarU Endowment was created in 2021 with an initial gift. Currently, we are growing the principal of the Endowment account to a designated minimum amount.
